The Rocky Top Dining Hall at the University of Tennessee is a campus hub for student life. Spanning three levels, the building features a 1,200-seat dining hall, open kitchens, campus bakery, Chick-fil-A and convenience store. The design embodies modern minimalism with lasting materials like polished terrazzo, porcelain tile, and steel, accented by the university's iconic orange and white checkerboard pattern. A soaring 50-foot vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and central brick fireplace create a campus backdrop to the Smoky Mountains.
